The Gore Bay Museum is dedicated to providing a safe and welcoming space for all staff and visitors. Therefore, The Gore Bay Museum and its branch (The William Purvis Marine Museum) have closed their doors to the public and will remain closed for the 2020 season.
While we are unable to welcome you in person, we hope you enjoy our virtual collections and exhibitions on our website.

The Harbour Centre has been the host of many programs including a book fair, Writers' Circle presentations, weaving lessons, harp lessons, and concerts. Weekly scrabble games and quilting workshops also take place here. Currently there is an exhibition of Michael Robinson's acrylic paintings. The emphasis of The Harbour Centre is on lifelong learning to strengthen the ties of the cultural centre with the many people it serves in a building full of light on the shore of the bay.
Scrabble Games
Join us every Thursday afternoon from 1-4PM
Scrabble has been cancelled until further notice.
